Sadie Amara Calvano, an American actress, best known for playing Violet Plunkett on the CBS sitcom "Mom", has gained lots of attention. An California native, Calvano was initially interested in gymnastics competition. However, she later made the decision to go after a job as an actress. Her first screen appearance was an episode in 2010 of the CBS show 'NCIS. Her big screen debut came one year later on the Biographical Drama "J Edgar". She is one of the hottest actresses in recent years. The performance she gave on 'NCIS' was nominated by the Young Artist Award 2011 for the best performance of a television Series that features a Guest Actress between the ages of 11-15. In 2013 she was nominated to win an additional Young Artist Award for her guest appearance in Disney XD's comedy show 'Kickin' it'. Calvano was featured in a variety in the episodes "Mom" in the Fourth Season. She played the main actor in the early three seasons of the show. Her performance being a rising star in Mom brought her the Gracie Allen Award, which is awarded to female actors.
